BigFoot Work In Progress

April 23rd, 2012

bigfootcolorcomp

Bigfoot hiding in the forest with his friends. I’m still working on this one. Barely past the color comp stage and beginning to render out more detail like Bigfoot’s furry coat.

I Could Eat You Up

April 18th, 2012

eatyouup

When I was little, my Great Grandmother would chase me through her house saying “I love you so much, I could eat you up.” I would run away from her, shrieking with delight and a little bit scared that she really would gobble me up. This is what I imagine would happen if my Great Grandma had been a bear.

The Lion and the Mouse

December 3rd, 2010

lionmouse_final

A mouse inadvertently wakes up a lion and is subsequently captured. The mouse begs forgiveness and makes the point that such unworthy prey would bring the lion no honour. The lion then agrees and sets the mouse free. Later, the lion is netted by hunters. Hearing it roaring, the mouse remembers its clemency and frees it by gnawing through the ropes. Moral: Mercy brings its reward. Little friends may prove great friends.

goonies1

Aw man, I can’t believe it’s been almost three months since my last entry. I’ve been busy working on a bunch of freelance, but I did have a chance to finish this painting for a Goonies themed art show at Lunar Boy Gallery in Astoria, OR. The gallery opening coincided with the 25th Anniversary of the Goonies Movie which was shot in Astoria. Can you believe it’s been 25 years already? I feel old.
