Aw man, I can’t believe it’s been almost three months since my last entry. I’ve been busy working on a bunch of freelance, but I did have a chance to finish this painting for a Goonies themed art show at Lunar Boy Gallery in Astoria, OR. The gallery opening coincided with the 25th Anniversary of the Goonies Movie which was shot in Astoria. Can you believe it’s been 25 years already? I feel old.
As I revise my boards again today, here is a panel that I really liked from the last pass.
The six day music video! Liz Bull and I made this silly music video for Rachel Robinson’s beautiful song, Rock Hard Life in five and a half days. Yippee! Thanks to everyone who helped by loaning us equipment, animals, helping us paint props, and dancing for us.

In response to my friend Dennis’s drawing a day challenge is this little surfer girl. Technically I guess I started a couple days ago, but forgot to post a sketch yesterday. Oops! Anyway, it’s a nice break from the storyboards I’m currently working on. This little girl was inspired by the lovely sunny weather we’re having in Portland right now. Summer, are you here already? Yeah, if summer was 50 degrees and book-ended by weeks of rain.
