Hi, I'm Lena!
I like to draw. I also love goofing off with my family, looking at bugs and other outdoor things, and a good story. My talent for burning toast comes from my grandmother and my stinky feet come from my great grandmother.
(Illustrator, Animator, Silly Story Teller)
You can usually find me, drawing pictures for kids and grown-ups, in my secret hideout at the bottom of a volcano in Portland, OR. Here, I create character driven work that is mostly sweet and a little bit wicked, like me.
I have been drawing since 1978. Since 2005, I have been working as an artist in the animation industry and as an illustrator on all sorts of projects. During this time, my work has included picture book illustration, editorial illustration, character development, design for animation, directing, story boarding, and character animation. Whew! In addition to working on picture books, I'm currently available to collaborate on projects, licensing, and commissions.
Let's collaborate!
